Albacete Balompié

Albacete Balompié have spent almost all of their existence in Segunda B or Tercera.
They first made it to Segunda A in 1985, went down again and then on their return in 1990 a Golden Age began.
Under Benito Floro - who went on to coach Real Madrid - Albacete Balompié gained promotion to the Primera Liga the following season and stayed there until 1995-96.

They came up again briefly in 2004, but with only 6 wins that season, it was pretty clear that remaining in top-flight football is a lot to ask of such a
modest club.
The Carlos Belmonte is a nice little stadium, though, and I look forward to paying a visit soon!
