Athletic Club de Bilbao's Copa del Rey final against Barcelona was the highlight of the 2008-09 which the Basque side finished in mid-table positions. The policy of fielding only Basque players makes coach Joaquin Caparros's job more difficult in a post-Bosman age. But the Basque cantera has a long tradition of producing good players and with Iraizoz in goals, Fran Yeste in midfield and Fernando Llorente up front, Athletic Bilbao have a strong physical side.
