CD Castellón

Now overshadowed by Villarreal, CD Castellón have been spent most of their time in Segunda División or lower.

They had a good period in the early seventies when their star player was Vicente del Bosque - who later went on to play for Real Madrid and now coaches the Spanish national team.

In the 1972-73 season they finished fifth in the Primera Liga and were runners-up in the Copa del Rey, but they've spent most of the last four decades in the lower divisions.

In 2005, CD Castellón were promoted to Segunda A and they seem to be holding their place. They finished fifth in 2007-08 and this season are still in touch with the promotion positions.

Who knows? 2009-10 might see a return to the Golden Years for CD Castellón.
