Deportivo Shirts
The Blue And White Of SuperDepor
|
Deportivo shirts are back in fashion.
After a fantastic period in the nineties when the club was known as SuperDepor, the Galicians have been a little quiet over the last few years.
However, the 2008-09 season has found them back at the top and, with every chance of qualifying for Europe, the future's looking bright for Deportivo.

I'm sure canny club president - Lendoiro - will be very pleased and Deportivo shirts will be in demand.
Deportivo Home Strip
The Deportivo home shirt is a strong blue and white striped design with the club badge in the centre of the chest.
The Kappa logo is just above the badge and also looks good in this position.
Deportivo shirts have changed very little over the decades and have a solid traditional air - very appropriate for a solid traditional Galician club like Deportivo.
My only criticism of the shirt is that blue and white stripes are a little too common amongst current Liga clubs for my liking.
Deportivo Away Strip

In many respects, I prefer the black away shirt - it's more exclusive and its simple black design means that it has less of a 'football shirt' look about it.
This means that you can use it as casual wear more easily.
I also like the collar and the blue and white flash - they look almost like paintbrush strokes - very fashionable!

The photo shows the 2006-07 design but Deportivo's away kit changes little from year to year.

Deportivo de la Coruņa Retro Shirts

I really like the idea of having a Deportivo Retro Shirt.
At the time of writing the only design available is the 1960s retro shirt - shown in the picture.
I think its a really elegant classic design - not radically different from the modern shirt but definitely something special.
Apparently, if Deportivo are back in Europe, there's every likelihood that more styles will become available.
