UD Las Palmas

UD Las Palmas are based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and, although now in Segunda A, have spent reasonable periods in Primera Liga.
The last decade has been quite difficult for them. They came up to Primera in 2000 and stayed there for two seasons.

Back in Segunda A, the 2003-04 was a complete disaster and they ended up reaching the rock bottom of Segunda B, where they stayed for two seasons.
They've been back in Segunda A since 2006 but have suffered from relegation worries.
I sincerely hope they stay up because a city of the importance of Las Palmas deserves a Second Division club, at least.
