Valencia are one of the most glamorous teams in Spain - with two Ligas and two Champions League finals this century, they're sometimes up on an incredible high but they're also capable of hitting rock bottom. Supporting Valencia is a real rollercoaster ride!

Valencia Home Strip

I think that the Valencia home shirt is a really elegant garment.

As you can see in the picture above, it's white with flashes of orange and black trimmings. The Nike logo looks really good in this context.

I also really like the high neck - it gives the shirt a touch of class and makes it ideal casual clothing.

If you add, Valencia's gorgeous club badge with its bat - a heraldic symbol of the medieval wars against the Moors - and the four gold and red stripes of Valencia's flag, you've got a modern shirt with plenty of historical references.

Valencia Away Strip

Valencia away shirts are black with orange trimmings for the 2008-09 season.

I like the cut but I find the combination of black and orange a little garish for my taste.

The club seems to alternate between orange with black trimmings and black with orange trimmings, depending on the season.

For some reason, I prefer the orange shirts, so I'll provide you with an update for next season's flamboyant kit.
